Fly fishing

Try your hand at this thrilling sport on the point, own equipment required.

A few hundred meters south of the lodge is a prominent rocky point on a NE axis that provides shelter to the picturesque and pronounced bay. As a guest you have access to kilometres of uninhabited coastline awash with clear tropical waters rich in sea-life.  Giant-, Brassy-, Bluefin- and big eye kingfish abound here as they prey on the inshore baitfish. Brassy kingfish caught here were all over 60cm in fork length and gave a very good account of themselves.  February being peak kingfish season we firmly
believe that guests will have several encounters with Giant kingfish at this venue. Wave garrick and Striped threadfin are plentiful along the kilometres of coastline north and south of the lodge. Bait fishermen regularly caught Bonefish in excess of 50cm within fly-casting distance of the beach and a strong possibility exists that they will be taken on fly in time to come.

A few kilometres south of the lodge is another rocky point that guests will visit.  This will be the spot where some of the biggest Giant kingfish will be landed in time to come.
