Good catches during winter in Mozambique only materializes when the surf temperature is favourable (not too cold), and of course you need good sea conditions with a stable or rising barometer.
When fishing with white bait in the surf, I prefer the medium 12ft Assassin with the Trinidad20. White bait refers to the following two baits:
Tjokka that is well softened with a tjokka hammer and placed over white foam to assist with floatation, and a tjokka prawn combination which is also fitted over white foam.
